The Ram Mandir Construction Committee has confirmed that the foundation work for the construction of Ram Temple will begin as early as possible after December 15. In a meeting held on Tuesday, the committee informed that the technical experts are set to present their reports by December 15.
The two-day long meeting was held in the presence of Nripendra Misra, chairman of the committee, in Ayodhya. The meeting included a detailed construction of the Temple and reviewed the preparations for construction in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.
Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, the treasurer of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust, said, “Construction work of Parkota (surrounding wall) of the temple will also start by the end of this month”.
“The two-day meeting (December 7-8) has been fruitful and important decisions related with construction work of Ram Mandir were taken,” he added.
For the technical front, experts of Larsen and Toubro, IIT Chennai and Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee, among others are analysing the results of this testing and are currently testing the foundation pillars of Ram Mandir.
Around 1,200 pillars will be laid 100 feet below the surface to prepare the temple’s foundation, reports said.
Earlier, the date to commence the construction work of the Ram Temple was October 15. However, it was delayed as experts working on the project faced some difficulties related to the construction material.
“It was mainly an assessment meeting and the preparations ahead of the construction were reviewed. It was decided that the actual construction is likely to start by December 15, soon after the whole process of technical plans and designs are sorted. As this is a grand project, things definitely will take time. Work will start only when the construction companies involved will be satisfied,” a construction committee member told Indian Express.
Meanwhile, Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Govind Dev Giri in a statement said CM Yogi wants to develop Ayodhya as a vedic city, which is welcomed and appreciated.
