Ranchi News: In Ranchi University’s Urdu Department, a case involving writing of a PhD thesis by replicating research already conducted in Pakistan has surfaced. The research paper was developed on the subject of “Tabaqati Shoor” or “Class Consciousness” within the works of Kurutul Ain Haider and Abdullah Hussain’s novel “Tabaqati Shoor.” This research paper was originally submitted by a scholar named Rubina Almas to a Pakistani university in the year 2012.
Plagiarism reported in Thesis
The research paper’s subject is also “Tabaqati Shoor” or “Class Consciousness” in the Urdu novel, specifically comparing Qurutul Ain Haider and Abdullah Hussain’s works. There exists a notable similarity in the chapters and content of both research papers. The department has reported this matter to the university administration.
The university administration has been informed about several instances where theses are being submitted after changing their topics, originally submitted in other universities. Consequently, the university administration has decided to scrutinise certificates issued by the Plagiarism Disciplinary Authority to prevent research plagiarism.
Ranchi University PhD results
Ranchi University’s administration has announced that PhD results will only be released starting from October 1, 2022, provided that the registration is uploaded to Shodh Gangotri and the thesis is submitted to Shodh Ganga. The university administration intends to issue official directives regarding this matter shortly.
