Namo Bharat Train: On October 20, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened India’s first NaMo Bharat trains, marking a significant advancement towards quicker and safer travel on the main Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS line. Common people used this path for travel nowadays. During this, RRTS bestowed a special honour for the first passenger.
Successful Inaugural Day
On the first day of operations, around 5 p.m., the Namo Bharat train has carried over 10,000 people while the train is still running. Along with other senior NCRTC officials, Vinay Kumar Singh, Managing Director, NCRTC, extended a hearty welcome to the group of passengers early in the morning. He gave them flowers as a sign of greeting and engaged in conversation to learn about and comprehend their travel experiences. The First Rider Certificate was also given to the initial group of travellers.
Joy and Celebration on Namo Bharat Train’s Inaugural Journey
A video is posted on Twitter by Indian Tech & Infra with a caption saying that, “Namo Bharat RRTS overtaking Indian railway express.” In order to demonstrate their happiness and excitement at becoming the first passengers on India’s inaugural NaMo Bharat train, some passengers even danced in the aisle. Everyone was ecstatic to be a part of this historic occasion; friends and family gathered, snapped movies, selfies, and pictures. Among this throng of commuters were also some office workers, exhibiting a smooth fusion of work and play. Since the platform screen doors and other safety features work together to ensure a safe ride for them, children enjoyed themselves greatly in the station and platform spaces.
How RapidX Will Cut Travel Time
In the course of their investigation, they discovered that the standard passenger train trip from Duhai to Sahibabad takes about 1.5 hours. The RapidX, on the other hand, travelled the same distance in only fifteen minutes. Even though Sahibabad and Duhai are still 17 kilometres apart, using the Rapid Rail instead of the current rail system saved a significant amount of time.
