The 73rd Republic Day Celebrations will have a Full Dress Rehearsal at Rajpath today. During this, the military might of the country will be seen on the Rajpath on one side and on the other side the cultural glimpse of the country will also be seen. Apart from this, a glimpse of the completion of 50 years of victory in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 will also be seen on the Rajpath. Para commandos will also be seen stepping on the Rajpath in the new uniform of the army.
For the first time, 75 aircraft of the Air Force will show their strength on the Rajpath. Apart from Rafale, making the size of 75, 17 Jaguars will fly over the Rajpath simultaneously.
In view of the third wave of Corona, only 8 thousand people will be able to attend it. In view of the low visibility, this time the parade will start with a delay of half an hour at 10.30 am and will continue till 12.30 am.

The Indian Army said in a statement on Saturday that 16 infantry squads, 17 military bands and 25 tableaux from various states, departments and armed forces will participate in the Republic Day parade this year. The Army will be represented in the Republic Day Parade-2022 by a cavalry contingent, 14 mechanized contingents, six infantry contingents and a flypast of advanced light helicopters of the Aviation Wing, the statement said.
In view of the full dress rehearsal, Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory. Police have advised people to avoid coming to India Gate-Rajpath. Many metro stations have also been closed for security reasons.
