Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva:Sanjeev Jeeva Maheshwari hailed from Muzaffarnagar and his parents were Om Prakash and Kunti Maheshwari . His has three sons and a daughter, his wife’s name is Payal who had contested the 2017 Assembly Elections. The close aide of the Gangster and Politician Mukhtar Ansari, Sanjeev maheshwari Jeeva had been accused in several criminal case including the murder of the two BJP leaders Brahma Dutt Dwivedi and Krishna Nand Rai. While Jeeva was convicted in the 1997 murder case, the gangster was acquitted in the 2005 murder case of Nand Rai.
Wife seeks Top Court’s Permission to attend last Rites
Brahma Dutt Dwivedi used to be the close aide of BSP Chief Mayawati , he also protected her when she was attacked by the party workers in the 1995 Guest House case. He used to be the BJP MLA from Farukhabad and was killed on February 10th . His killer was also killed in the attack, on the other hand his driver received injuries . According to the Police records, Sanjeev Jeeva Maheshwari was accused in 24 cases , out of which he had been acquitted in 17. He was involved in the case of murder, kidnapping, extortion and dacoity in Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Haridwar and Farukhabad.
The Lucknow court had sentenced Maheshwari and Former SP MLA Vijay Singh to Life Imprisonment in the year 2003. Both the convicts challenged the judgment in the High Court. The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court upheld the trial court judgment. Meanwhile wife of Sanjeev Maheshwari has moved the Supreme Court seeking permission to attend her husband’s last rites. The U.P Government told the court that they have no objection if she wants to attend the funeral.
