In view of the increasing infection of Corona in the country, total state lockdown and night curfew have been imposed. On Monday, the Allahabad High Court, while hearing a petition, ordered the Yogi government to put a complete lockdown in the state by April 26, in view of the growing infected patients in Uttar Pradesh. Which included Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Gorakhpur, including the state capital Lucknow.
While the state government did not agree to it, the UP government had filed a petition in the Supreme Court. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court has now stayed the order of the Allahabad High Court to impose lockdown in 5 cities. Also, the state government has been asked to give details of the steps taken to deal with Covid. Meanwhile, news has surfaced that a weekend lockdown will be put in place to prevent the pandemic.

In fact, on Tuesday, the UP government’s Solicitor General Tushar Mehta argued in the Supreme Court that the state government has taken many such steps to prevent corona. So that the pandemic can be curbed, but it is not fair that any court suddenly decides to impose lockdown in five cities of the state.
On Monday, the Allahabad High Court, while hearing a petition, ordered the state government to implement a complete lockdown in the state by April 26. However, the state government refused to impose the lockdown as per the court’s direction.
The state government said that they have imposed strictness to prevent corona. They are considering even more strictness, but will not put a complete lockdown in the state in order to save the livelihood of the people of the state. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the government, rejecting the decision of the court.
On Tuesday, the UP government has announced a weekend lockdown in the state. Under this, all establishments in the state will be closed on Saturday and Sunday except for essential services.
CM Yogi has given instructions in this regard on Tuesday to Team-11, formed for the management of Corona. CM said that in cities where there are more than 500 active cases, night curfew will be applicable from 8 am to 7 am the next day.
