Today is the second death anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister of the country, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On August 16, 2018 news of the demise had shaken the entire nation. He is one of the few leaders of Indian politics who has never been bound by the party politics, he always found a lot of love and affection from all parties.
Born on December 25, 1924, in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior, Vajpayee, the first BJP prime minister and served as India’s prime minister thrice – briefly in 1996, from 1998 to 1999 and then for a full five-year term between 1999 and 2004.
Among his several portfolios, Vajpayee had also served as External Affairs Minister during PM Morarji Desai’s tenure during 1977 and 1979. (ANI)

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Vajpayee’s tremendous contribution towards public life and India’s development will always be cherished, and his vision for the country will continue to inspire coming generations.
