Sharad Pawar, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, announced on Thursday that he would attend the anti-Bharatiya Janata Party rally being hosted by Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, in Patna on June 23.
Pawar and Kumar Initiate National Opposition Meeting
Pawar told reporters that he had spoken with Kumar on the phone about the meeting on Wednesday. “I’ll attend the meeting that he has invited the nation’s top opposition figures to. He invited us to this conference because we should collaborate to address pressing national concerns, and we have a duty to do so, Pawar remarked. Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, Mamata Banerjee, and other Left-leaning leaders have agreed to meet and devise a plan of attack for the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, according to a press conference held by the ruling Rashtriya Janata Dal and Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday.

Tejashwi Yadav and Rajiv Ranjan Singh Announce Joining Leaders at Opposition Meeting
RJD leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh ‘Lalan’ said others who accepted to join the meeting are Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, and Shiv Sena (UBT) group president Uddhav Thackeray. According to the leaders of all like-minded parties, getting rid of the BJP was the top priority as the nation was experiencing an unrecognised emergency.
