Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra was sent to judicial custody for 14 days today after being arrested last week in a pornography-related case. Earlier today, Bombay High Court adjourned Kundr’s bail plea and investigation is currently focused on Shilpa Shetty’s involvement in the same case.
“Shilpa Shetty hasn’t been given clean chit yet. All possibilities/angles are being probed. Forensic auditors are appointed and they are looking into the transactions of all accounts in this case” said the Mumbai Crime Branch to ANI.
Earlier today, reports surfaced that when Kundra was taken to his home during police raid, Shilpa reportedly shouted him and asked him what was the need of doing all this, adding “we have everything”. She was distressed at her husband’s actions and kept weeping throughout the search by crime branch, reports said.
According to multiple reports, Shilpa has denied her involvement in any links related to pornography. Four people from Raj Kundra’s company have witnessed against him, while no body has so far has included Shilpa in the matter.
Meanwhile, Kundra’s bail plea will be next heard on July 29. As Raj Kundra’s police custody ended today, he was produced before a magistrate court, however, he was sent to 14 days of judicial custody.
The businessman was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch for his role in the production and distribution of pornographic content and was sent to police custody.
