Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that after last week no new cases of UK strain of corona infection have come to light. The 27th “Hunar Haat” of rare indigenous handmade products of artisans, craftsmen from across the country was inaugurated by the Chief Minister in the presence of Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal.
On the sidelines of the program, the Chief Minister told journalists, “No new cases of infection of new form of Covid-19 found in Britain have come to the fore in the state”. He said, ‘We are keeping a close watch on the situation of Corona pandemic, especially Bhopal and Indore, two big cities of the state. We will review the situation on Monday and decide on further action. Chauhan informed that a decision will be taken on Monday to impose curfew in the state capital Bhopal and Indore on Monday.
The Chief Minister said that the new cases of Corona in the neighboring state of Maharashtra are increasing rapidly. Hence, thermal scanning of people coming into the state by air, train or road from Maharashtra will be done. According to the statement, during the meeting, ways to restrict the movement of people of Maharashtra were also discussed. Chauhan directed the officials to ensure that Covid-19 rules are strictly followed by the people to prevent the spread of the virus.
Here Collector Avinash Lavania banned the activities of drinking and serving hookah in any hotel restaurant, bar and hookah bar etc. in the entire revenue range area of Bhopal district under Section-144 of the Criminal Procedure Code 1973 to prevent the spread of corona infection .
The meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. It is believed that in this meeting, a decision can be taken to impose night curfew at places other than these two big cities. Apart from this, some suggestions have also been made to the government to stop Corona.
