Sidhu Moose Wala Murder Case: On the night between Saturday and Sunday, Deepak alias Tinu—a suspect in the murder of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala—broke free from police custody. Around 11 p.m., a member of the Central Investigation Agency (CIA) was driving him to Mansa from the Kapurthala prison when the criminal seized the chance to flee.

Who is Deepak?
Deepak is a close associate of Sidhu Moose Wala’s killer, mobster Lawrence Bishnoi. The charging sheet that named 15 people as shooters, organisers, and other participants in the murder included Deepak’s name.

On May 29, a gunman shot and killed the singer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala in Punjab’s Mansa district. A day after the state administration reduced his security cover, he was shot and killed. He was travelling in a jeep with his cousin and a friend, both of whom were hurt in the incident.
