In a ‘wake up’ call to BJP, former Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday claimed that Maha Vikas Agadi (MVA) will beat NDA if elections were to be held now. The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader who often garners limelight for his controversial remarks against his own party has made the recent statement amid the ongoing political tussle in Maharashtra.

MVA ahead of the NDA
Subramanian Swamy took to Twitter to share that NDA which is an alliance of BJP and Shinde Sena, will face defeat at the hands of Maha Vikas Aghadi constituting of Congress, NCP, and Thackeray Sena.
Citing a newspaper survey, Swamy said that if elections in Maharashtra are to be held now, then the NDA voting percentage will be 39.3 percent, while the MVA will have the majority 47.7 per cent votes.

BJP facing ‘same issue in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh‘
The former MP said that the Narendra Modi-led party faces the same issues in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. All these three states will go under assembly polls this year.
“As of now, the same issue is affecting BJP in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chattisgarh,” he wrote on Twitter.
What does the Survey predict?
Citing a local newspaper survey, Subramaniam Swamy suggested that if elections are held in Maharashtra at the present time, then the voting percentage of NDA will be 39.3 per cent. BJP is estimated to get 33.8 percent votes, while Shinde Sena will only be getting 4.4 per cent votes.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi, on the other hand, is rapidly increasing its mass base. The MVA is expected to sweep 47.7 percent of votes. Congress can woo 19.9 per cent of votes, while NCP is expected to win 15.3 per cent of votes. Thackeray Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) is expected to have 12.5 per cent votes in the survey.
Going by the current survey, MVA will emerge as a clear winner leading by 8.4 per cent votes.
