Amid the rising case of coronavirus in the national capital, the Delhi government has announced a lockdown till April 26. After the announcement of lockdown, now the state education department has announced preponed summer holidays for all government, aided, and private schools. Summer break was supposed to take place from May 11 to June 30 earlier, now it will be from April 20 to June 9.
During the vacation period, the heads of schools are allowed to call sataffs as per requirement for any school-related work maintaing COVID-appropriate behaviour.
Earlier during the state the schools to shut all the physical classes in all schools and had directed to start online classes for new academic session from April in digital mode.
The nation reported more than 2 lakh and 73 new cases of COVID-19. The surge in cases is creating a lockdown-like situation in the entire nation yet again.
