Haryana Violence: The Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad conducted protest rallies in Delhi on Wednesday over the violence in Haryana. The Supreme Court directed the authorities to make sure that nobody engaged in hate speech or violence during these demonstrations. The racial tensions that started in Haryana’s Nuh on Monday and then moved to Gurgaon on Tuesday resulted in at least six fatalities. 44 FIRs and 116 arrests have been made by Nuh police.
Pledges Safety and Stability Amid Haryana Unrest
Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, promised to take harsh action against the offenders and promised that those found guilty would not get off easy. “Six people including two home guards and four civilians have died in the incident. 116 people have been arrested till now. Their remand is being taken. We are committed to the safety of the public. The overall situation in the state is normal. Appeal to the public to maintain peace, calm and brotherhood,” he added.
Urges Public to Report Suspicious Activity, Cautions Against Spreading Rumours on Social Media
Varun Dahiya, the ACP for crime in Gurgaon, claimed that all of the district’s schools, universities, and offices are operating properly. Even if internet connections are available, he urged people to avoid spreading rumours on social media and instead call the police at (112) to report any suspicious activity. pledging stern punishment for the offenders, According to police, a mosque in a Gurgaon neighbourhood was set on fire on Tuesday and the naib imam was fatally stabbed by a mob around midnight on Monday. The event also resulted in one person being hurt. Shops in Gurgaon’s Badshahpur neighbourhood were set on fire in the afternoon. The Nuh DC has lifted the curfew during Wednesday’s 3–5 pm window enabling people to roam about and shop for necessities.

Pinarayi Vijayan, the chief minister of Kerala, has conveyed his sorrow over the six people killed in communal violence in Haryana. describing the current events as “distressing.” He said, “Deeply saddened by the distressing communal conflict unravelling in Haryana. The loss of lives and widespread arson are undeniably tragic. Let’s unite in upholding communal harmony and swiftly end the violence. Our heartfelt thoughts are with the affected families.”
