Arvind Kejriwal: A 33-year-old man was detained by the Delhi Police for writing death threats on public transportation in the nation’s capital against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The perpetrator, identified as Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh resident Ankit Goyal, wrote threats on the walls of the Patel Nagar and Rajiv Chowk metro stations on May 19, according to ANI.
Police Register FIR and Launch Investigation
“The Metro Unit of Delhi Police had registered an FIR and was investigating the matter,” a police official said. The defendant has a great degree and is employed by a reputable bank. He doesn’t belong to any political organization.
According to police sources who spoke to ANI, the accused appears to be in poor mental health as well, however this can only be verified by a medical check. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was previously accused by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of preparing an attack on Arvind Kejriwal.
AAP Alleges BJP Panic Over Kejriwal’s Release
While addressing a press conference, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said, “The BJP has been in a state of panic ever since Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail. The BJP is now plotting to launch a deadly attack on Arvind Kejriwal. This conspiracy is being conducted directly from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). A threat of attack on Kejriwal ji has been written at Patel Nagar and Rajiv Chowk metro stations.”
