Tamil Nadu: Women police officers have reported a top police official stationed in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, for reportedly sharing naked images of himself on a WhatsApp group with another female police officer. The police officer who shared nude pictures of himself with another female officer on an official WhatsApp group has been called out in a letter from district women police officers that has gone viral on social media.

Images remained on Social Media even after the cop deleted them
On May 19 of this year, the officer posted nude photos to a police WhatsApp group that had been set up to discuss news about crimes. The images were exposed on social media even though he had removed them right away.
Women police officers have accused the officer of forcing some of them into sexual activity and taking lewd photos of them in a letter they have written.
Additionally highlighted in the letter was the fact that the officer had been the subject of complaints on both May 23 and September 30. The letter claimed that despite his purported protection by DMK Minister KN Nehru, no action was taken against him.
He has been held on a waiting list for a governmental inquiry after the letter went public.
