Tejashwi Yadav, a former deputy chief minister of Bihar, unveiled the Rashtriya Janata Dal‘s Lok Sabha election manifesto on Saturday morning, pledging the construction of five new airports in the state. Along with releasing “Parivartan Patra,” the political heir and son of RJD founder Lalu Yadav pledged ₹1 lakh annually to “sisters” from low-income families on Raksha Bandhan.
Tejashwi Yadav Unveils ‘Parivartan Patra’
On the release of ‘Parivartan Patra’, Former Bihar Deputy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav says “If our INDIA alliance is voted to power, we will give government jobs to one crore youth across the country…Today unemployment is our biggest enemy and BJP people did not talk about this, they had promised to give 2 crore jobs but we do what we say and will give 1 crore jobs.”
Tejashwi Yadav Presents ‘Parivartan Patra’ Before Senior RJD Leaders
In front of senior RJD leaders, Tejashwi Yadav unveiled the document and declared that his party had committed 24 commitments to both the national and Bihar populace. “We have released ‘Parivartan Patra’. We have brought 24 ‘jan vachan’ (public promise) for 2024. These 24 ‘jan vachan’ are our commitments that we will fulfil,” he said.
Tejashwi Yadav’s Infrastructure Vision
Tejashwi Yadav declared that his party will see to it that five new airports are built in Bihar to improve connectivity, should the INDIA bloc secure a majority at the Centre. “For better connectivity in Bihar, we are going to build 5 new airports in the state — in Purnea, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj and Raxaul,” he said.
Bihar was also offered special status by Tejashwi Yadav. “We will implement OPS (Old Pension Scheme) and we will provide special status to Bihar,” he said. He promised to eradicate unemployment in the nation.
Independence from Unemployment
“From 15th August, people will start getting freedom from unemployment. If our government comes to power, the process of providing jobs will start from 15th August,” he said. According to Tejashwi Yadav, cooking gas cylinders will be given out for 500.
“On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, we will provide ₹1 lakh to our sisters belonging to the poor household, every year. We will provide gas cylinders at ₹500,” he added. The leader of the RJD assured young people all over the nation of one crore jobs.
