K Kavitha: In connection with her suspected involvement in the Delhi Excise Policy case, BRS leader K Kavitha, the daughter of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, declined to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday. The BRS leader filed a petition opposing the ED’s summons to her in the case, and the Supreme Court agreed to hear her argument the day before. On Thursday, Kavitha emphasised that the case was still pending before the Supreme Court.
Allegations of Ulterior Motives and Violation of Laws in ED’s Summon
On Thursday afternoon, a duly authorised representative of the leader showed up at the ED headquarters in Delhi. “It gives me great pleasure to represent K Kavitha in this matter. She signed a representation I brought today requesting that ED adhere to CrPC 160 and Sec. 50 of the PMLA Act. Instead, they compelled her to appear in person in their office after 6 p.m., which is against the law. The deadline for our writ petition in SC is March 24. Soma Bharat Kumar, her attorney, declared that this was a false accusation with ulterior motives.

Urgent Petition Against ED Summon: Supreme Court to Hear K Kavitha’s Case
Kavitha had already petitioned the Supreme Court for an urgent hearing, arguing that because she is a woman, she cannot be called to the ED office and that instead, agents from the investigation agency must pay her a visit. it was Wednesday. Although the Supreme Court accepted to consider her case, it declined to give her temporary relief.
