1. Indian Army and Japan Self Defense forces get together to flex the muscles in a joint exercise Dharma Guardian
Indian Army will conduct joint exercises with Japanese Self Defense Forces to test interoperability skills in a changing geopolitical global environment. Earlier , Indian Airforce and Japanese Self Defence forces had participated in Joint Air Drills and it involved their state of the art front line fighter jets. Joint Military exercises between professional armies of India and Japan will be conducted at Camp Imazu in Shiga province. Exercise Dharma Guardian is significant because it will fine tune the military doctrines of India and Japan in changing Geopolitical landscape.
2. India walks extra mile to ensure success of upcoming G-20 Summit
India will play host to the gathering of G 20 foreign ministers, who will assemble in New Delhi on March 1, 2023. Diplomats are working overtime and working on their phone lines and clocking extra mile to ensure smooth meeting of Foreign Ministers. G-20 Foreign Ministers meeting is being held exactly after a year when Russian forces invaded Ukraine. Task is cut out for Indian Diplomacy in working out a fine balance in a world which has been polarized by the Russia – Ukraine War. It will be the skills of Indian diplomats who are expected to bring about convergence of views among G 7 countries and European Union on one side and a grieved Russia.
3. Delhi special court swings into action and convicts four terrorist sympathizer in terror funding case
Special Court in Delhi has convicted four terrorist sympathizer in a terror funding case in Jammu and Kashmir. ED had lodged case on the basis of a First Hand Information Report (FIR) under various provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against terror based outfit Hizbul Mujahuideen and other terrorists. Terrorist sympathizer who have been convicted are Mohammed Shafi Shah, Talib Lali, Muzaffar Ahmed Dar and Mushtaq Ahmad Lone.
4. Army modifies and tweaks recruitment process for Agniveers
Indian Army has modified recruitment procedures for Junior Commissioned Officers, Other Ranks and Agniveers. Now their will be Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) will be conducted before the recruitment. Earlier written exams would be conducted after the physical and medical tests.
5. S.Jaishankar : India will help Fiji in its Nation building efforts
External Affairs Minister S.Jaishankar is in Fiji and has stated that it is privileged to partner with it in its nation building efforts. Further stated that the two nations have “close and long-standing ties” which has been possible due to long standing people to people linkages.
6. A pause in hostility? Chinese officials arrive in Taiwan to attend Lantern Festival
Chinese officials were invited by Taipei city government to attend Lantern Festival. A group of six officials from China’s Taiwan Affairs office participated in the Festival, but had to face protests from pro-Taiwan independence supporters.

North Korean Leader brought his young daughter Kim Ju Ae to see a football match. There has been widespread speculation in the media that North Korean dictator is grooming his 10 year daughter to be his heir apparent. Public appearances of Kim Jong Un has led to buzzing of rumor mills.
8. Win- Win Deal : Air India super deal with Boeing Airbus will create 2 lakh jobs in India
Optimism is ringing in India’s Aviation Sector , as Industry source has revealed that Mega deal between Air India and Boeing, Airbus will generate 2laks direct and direct jobs in India. Currently Air India has 140 planes and is expected to acquire 470 planes from Boeing and Airbus.
9. Usman Khwaja defends opening partner David Warner on poor run of form
Australian opener Usman Khawaja has backed his opening partner David Warner and has stated that his recent poor run of form does not reveal his caliber and contributions which he has made to Australian cricket. Warner has had a poor run of form and has clocked in scores of 1, 10 and 15 in current Indian tour.
