Uddhav Thackeray Says Follow Covid norms to avoid another ‘lockdown & knockdown’

As lockdown restrictions has been eased in Maharashtra, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray warned the public to follow precautions and rules if they wish to avoid another ‘lockdown and knockdown’ due to the deadly Corona virus. Thackeray said during a meeting with leading businessman and entrepreneurs.

“We don’t want both lockdown and knockdown, so please follow the rules. Total relaxation is not done. We have given criteria and guidelines, local administration will decide further,” he said.

Uddhav Thackeray says that the state have to set an example by showing that the industrial sector and business can work undisturbed while complying with Covid protocols.
Thackeray has asked businessmen and industry leaders to keep eye on the well-being of their workforce. He also commended them present for stepping up to supply oxygen and medical equipment when there was a critical shortage amid the second Covid wave.

“Maintain health record of construction workers as well as workers in industries. They should not spread the virus here or in their village. Keep track of their families. If they are coming from outside they should be kept in isolation. Industries should set up temporary accommodations in their premises for their staff and employees,” he detailed.

The CM said that even if the government has to impose another lockdown in the wake of a third wave, there should be no impact on manufacturing.

About Bollywood and TV shooting he said that permission for film and TV shootings will be given if Mumbai succeeds in controlling covid cases.
