Big news related to unemployment has come out across the country. The National Statistics Department (NSO) has released the data related to unemployment.
According to which the unemployment rate for persons aged 15 years and above in urban areas has come down to 7.2 percent on an annual basis in July-September, 2022.
It is known that a year ago in 2021, the unemployment rate was 9.8 percent during the same period.
Unemployment rate is defined as the percentage of unemployed persons among the labor force.
In the year 2021, the unemployment rate was very high in the country due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 epidemic in the month of July-September.
But now the situation is becoming normal in the country. Due to this, the unemployment rate has come down. The latest figures released today based on the labor force survey are pointing out that the economy is improving steadily after coming out of the impact of the Corona pandemic.

According to the 16th Labor Force Survey (PLFS), the unemployment rate for people aged 15 years and above in April-June 2022 in urban areas stood at 7.6 per cent.
Know Women Condition
According to the survey, the unemployment rate among women (aged 15 years and above) in urban areas has come down to 9.4 per cent in July-September, 2022. Which was 11.6 percent in the same period a year ago. Also, during April-June, 2022, the same figure was 9.5 percent.
At the same time, the unemployment rate of men in urban areas decreased to 6.6 percent in July-September 2022 as compared to 9.3 percent a year ago. It was 7.1 percent in April-June, 2022.
