PUBG Love Story: The Greater Noida Civil Court today granted bail to Pakistani woman Seema and her Indian partner Sachin Kumar. The bail was granted in connection with Seema’s illegal entry and stay in India which was assisted by Sachin. The couple’s story had gone viral after both of them confessed love for each other in front of media and police, where they urged everyone to let them marry and stay together. Seema Ghulam Haider and Sachin Meena were arrested on July 4.
The PUBG couple’s bail
The couple met online playing popular mobile shooting game PUBG. After 4 years of contact they finally met at Nepal in March and made resolve to stay together. Seem made her way to India with 4 of her children via Nepal in June.
They were reported to police by a lawyer who was approached by the couple for getting married. Under the bail conditions Seema would have to stay at her place of residence and the couple would have to make regular court appearances.
“Both Seema and Sachin have been granted bail by the court. However, they are yet to be released from the jail. They would be released after paper work and verification are completed. “Seema’s four children are also with her in the jail. They would stay with the mother once she walks out of the jail”said Sudhir Kumar, in-charge of local Rabupura police station.
Defense Argument
Advocate Hemant Krishna Parashar who represented Seema and Sachin made the argument that they had made her decision in innocence and were ‘love struck.’ He further argued that they had already wed in Nepal and Seema fears her safety if she is sent back to Pakistan. The lawyer told PTI that court was satisfied with the arguments and granted bail to the couple. The bail was granted by ustice Nazim Akbar of the Jewar Civil Court junior division. Sachin’s father Netrapal Singh (50) was also arrested in connection with the case and has also been granted bail.
