Uttarakhand Rain: Alert issued, SDRF rescued 22 passengers

Heavy rain warning has been issued in many areas of Uttarakhand. Administration is on alert. Also, the Char Dham Yatra has been stopped. Not only this, schools and colleges have also been closed as a precaution. Also, guidelines have been issued for the tourists coming here to stay in their homes. Avoid unnecessary travel. Many rivers are in spate after the rain in the mountains. The flow of Mandakini river has become very fast. On Monday, the state government held an emergency meeting so that any situation could be handled in a good way. In Uttarakhand, the problem is increasing due to continuous rain at many places.

In such a situation, news of passengers getting stuck in many places is also coming. SDRF, Uttarakhand Police took the passengers from Janki Chatti to Gaurikund safely late at night. These travelers were trapped after visiting the Kedarnath temple and there was a danger of landslides and debris falling due to rain. Many people, including injured passengers, were rescued from the other side of the Mandakini river on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath walk. The SDRF rescued 22 passengers after facing all the troubles and torrential rains that continued throughout the night.

The view of Nainital, the famous tourist place of Uttarakhand, is such that people have not seen till date. It has been raining continuously for 24 hours, due to which the water of Naini Lake has increased so much that the water has come till the Mall Road. At present the water has receded, but the roads are closed. Some pictures came out in the night in which people were seen passing through Mall Road in ankle till water. After opening the exit gate of Naini Lake, the people living in the houses built around the drain were tensed.

Nainital’s contact with Haldwani and Bhowali remained cut off. The power went out. Due to heavy rains, debris has reached the roads, due to which the roads have been closed. All national highways from Nainital, Ranikhet, Almora to Haldwani and Kathgodam have been blocked due to heavy rains. Passenger vehicles are not being allowed to cross Chandrabhaga bridge, Tapovan, Laxman Jhula and Muni-ki-Reti Bhadrakali barrier in Rishikesh.

There is news of cloudburst in Nainital’s Ramgarh. Cloud burst in Tokna village of Ramgarh. 9 people are reported to be buried under the rubble. Police and administration team has left for the spot.
