Vande Bharat Express: The country is going to witness Indian Railways roll out the country’s first 20-coach Vande Bharat train, all set to hit the high-speed rail network. The new Vande Bharat Express is going to be flogged on the busy Ahmedabad-Mumbai route, where demands are particularly high between these two large cities.
Enhanced Travel Comfort
The Divisional Railway Manager of Ahmedabad posted an update of the new vibrant orange Vande Bharat train on ground running in a video. The train was seen reaching 130 km/h while it was under initial trial run and was running through Maninagar level crossing. This trial run shall test all the parameters related to the train, including tracks, signals, and other running parameters.
In case of success, the 20-coach Vande Bharat Express is going to increase travel comfort and efficiency on this and probably some other busy routes. Occupancy rates for the existing Vande Bharat Express on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route have been very high, underscoring the need for additional capacity.
Vande Bharat Express Schedule and Key Stops Along the Route
While leaving Mumbai Central as MMCT at 3:55 PM and reaching Ahmedabad Junction as ADI at 9:25 PM, it stops at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, and Vadodara Junction along the way. The Ahmedabad-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express departs Ahmedabad at 6:10 AM to reach Mumbai Central at 11:35 AM.
This 20-coach train will set new standards of efficiency and comfort for travelers in Indian Railways while satisfying the growing demand on this vital route and setting the new benchmark of high-speed rail travel in India.
