Vijaywada: Andhra man injects HIV into his pregnant wife to find a “reasonable excuse” to divorce her

Vijaywada: According to TOI, a man looking for a “reasonable excuse” to divorce his pregnant wife allegedly had HIV-infected blood injected into her by a quack in Tadepalli.
Tadepalli police opened an investigation after his wife filed a complaint against him, and M Charan, 40, was detained for questioning on Friday.

About the incident

The victim stated that she recently discovered she was HIV positive following a hospital health check-up. She told police that the accused devised a scheme to get rid of her and led her to a quack who promised to give her a health injection.
They have a daughter. According to the woman’s lawsuit, they had a good relationship for a few years after the wedding. She claims, however, that her husband has been harassing her for more dowry money and insisting on having a male child since 2018.

Wife blames husband for having an extra marital affair

She also claimed that her husband had an extramarital affair with a 21-year-old lady from Visakhapatnam, which led to him harassing and pressuring her to leave him.
She told the cops that the accused devised a plan to get rid of her and led her to a local quack, claiming he would give her an injection for good health. She claims, however, that he gave her an HIV-infected blood injection.
When the victim went to the hospital for a check-up recently, she discovered she was HIV positive.

When questioned, she stated that her husband had informed her that she could have been exposed to HIV during her pregnancy. Tadepalli police filed a report and arrested the man on Friday.
