Viral Video: After being requested to pay the toll tax, four employees of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) were beaten by a unit of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). At the Banskopa toll plaza on the interstate in West Bengal’s Bardhaman district, the incident happened.
When the four toll collectors requested the tax in accordance with the established protocol for collecting it from all commercial cars travelling along the national route, the CISF personnel allegedly arrived and beat them up. Following the assault by the CISF jawans, the employees were able to escape the toll booth. The CCTV footage of the incident is now going viral on the internet.

Jawans from the CISF are seen encircling the toll booth as the video opens. Then one of the staff members struck a booth employee. Another jawan then chased the worker and hit him with a stick. Watch video here:
Tanmay Kumar Sinha, one of the victims said, “Around 1:30 am, a car with a yellow number plate stopped at the toll plaza. I was following the standard protocol that we do for all commercial vehicles and asked them to show their identity card. However, they refused to produce any ID cards and physically assaulted us. Thrashed and slapped us.”
The National Highways Authority No. 2 filed a complaint with the Urdhatan and Kanksa Police Stations shortly after the incident. An official of National Highway No. 2, Rakesh Thakur, reported that a complaint had been lodged against the CISF soldiers.

According to sources that, CISF commercial vehicles are not exempt from paying taxes.
The same thing happened on Sunday. A man and his family were travelling to Durgapur in a four-wheeler, objected to having to pay when they were prompted to pay the required toll tax. The individual, who described himself as a CISF officer.
