Viral Video: It is typical to witness police officers risking their lives to save people or putting up earnest effort to uphold law and order in various urban settings. But recently, a police officer in Andhra Pradesh who was on duty saved the life of a farmer after the latter had a heart attack and fainted on the road. This was a heroic and rapid response on the part of the police officer.
Farmers from Amaravati to Arasavalli organised a “Maha Padayatra” during which the tragedy occurred. A farmer had a heart attack on the Gammon bridge while he was protesting on his way to Arasavalli. He passed out immediately.
However, a police officer who had been dispatched to the scene, quickly responded and saved his life by doing CPR. Watch Video:
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, or CPR, is a life-saving technique used to restart breathing and heartbeat following a heart attack. It is utilised in emergency scenarios like the one discussed over here. Notably, the police immediately for an ambulance and sent the farmer to the hospital after giving him prompt help.

Due to the officer’s prompt response, the video of the incident has also gained widespread popularity. Many others praised the officer in the comments section as well. Salute to the officer, said a user.
In addition, Andhra Pradesh KV Rajendranath Reddy praised the officer’s efforts. The “Maha Padayatra,” which was organised by the farmers of Amaravati, attempt to keep Amaravati as the state capital. The yatra reached Rajahmundry on Tuesday after finishing its 37th day. The yatra had the backing of some TDP politicians at this period, but it also encountered opposition from YSRCP members, who showed up with black balloons and shouted anti-farmer chants.
