WATCH: PM Narendra Modi plays traditional drum during public rally in Karnataka

During a public rally in the Kalaburagi district today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who today launched several development projects in Karnataka, tried his hand at playing a traditional drum.

The throng cheered the PM as he played the drum. PM Modi has already experimented with different musical instruments. PM Modi has initially performed on a variety of instruments, both in India and abroad.

PM Modi stated during his speech at the crowd in Karnataka that the BJP government only prioritises development.

“It has been 75 years of India’s development and now the country is marching ahead with the focus on the next 25 years. These 25 years are going to be the Amrit Kaal for every citizen and state, during which we have to build a developed India,” Modi noted.

In regard to the advantages of having a BJP-led administration at both the state and federal levels, he stated that Karnataka is the best example of a twin engine government since it provides twice as much benefit, twice as much welfare, and twice as quickly.

By May, Karnataka will hold its assembly elections.

Speaking at Kodekal in this district after laying the foundation for several irrigation and drinking water development projects as well as a National Highway development project, he said that India can only be developed when every citizen of the nation, every family, and every state gets involved with this campaign.

The Prime Minister is currently in election-year Karnataka for the second time this month. On January 12, he was in Hubballi for the opening of the National Youth Festival, during which he had staged a sizable road show. The trip also takes on added significance as Karnataka’s ruling BJP gears up for assembly elections that are scheduled for May and has set a goal of capturing at least 150 of the state’s 224 seats.

The event was attended by the governor of Karnataka, Thaawarchand Gehlot, the chief minister, Basavaraj Bommai, the union minister of state for chemicals and fertilisers, Bhagwanth Khuba, a number of ministers from the state cabinet, lawmakers, and other officials.
