India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has bashed China a lot in a FICCI program. Targeting China, he said that if we are talking about India’s super power and development, it will never mean that we want to dominate any other country. He said, “Nor do we have any intention to occupy an inch of land from any country in the world.” He said that we want to become a super power for the welfare of the world. He was addressing the 95th Annual Convention of FICCI.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that we believe in the culture of India. India has given the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam for the solidarity of the whole world. He said that India has completely overcome the gloom which prevailed till 2013 and has emerged as a ray of hope for the world. Referring to the Indo-China economy, the Defense Minister said that in 1949, when there was a movement in China, their GDP was less than that of India. He said that till 1980, India and China were walking together.
India is now a three and a half trillion dollar economy
After the 80s, China made many economic reforms to improve the economy and took a long leap and after that it left all the countries behind in terms of economic reforms. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh further said that India returns to the top 10 economies of the world in the 21st century and the process of progress begins. He said that, but the speed at which the economy was running in India in the 80s was not enough. He said that during the eight and a half years of the Modi government, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world with an economy of $3.5 trillion.
India moves from Fragile 5 to Fabulous 5
The Defense Minister further said in FICCI’s program that our India has moved from the category of Fragile 5 to Fabulous 5, this has happened in the last 8 and a half years. He said that when Modi ji became the Prime Minister, India was the 9th largest economy in the world and the size of our economy used to be around two trillion dollars.
