Weather Update: In several of the nation’s states, the cold has gotten worse. Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Punjab all have steadily decreasing temperatures. In the coming days, numerous states will experience cold wave conditions, according to the Meteorological Department. Visibility can be observed to be declining in the morning due to the thick fog. Temperature drops of three to four degrees are possible in the states of North India as a result of the cold wave.
Speaking of the current weather, Delhi, Punjab, and other northern Indian regions are covered in a thick fog. Consequently, vehicles’ on-road speeds have also slowed down as a result.
Delhi
The national capital which was covered in dense fog yesterday, will have almost similar weather pattern today. Sky will be partly covered with clouds while the winds will affect the natives more. For today, the maximum temperature will be 23 degrees and minimum will be 9 degrees.
Mumbai
IMD predicts that Mumbai will largely remain unaffected by the weather changes taking place in other parts of the country. The city and its suburbs will be mostly sunny throughout the day. The maximum temperature for today will be 33 degrees and 23 degrees.
Chennai
As per the latest weather update, Chennai will remain mostly cloudy and will also see probable rains in isolated parts. Also, rains will lash the city beginning from tomorrow morning. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees and minimum will be 24 degrees.
Kolkata
IMD predicts Kolkata will be pleasant and not much change will be seen in the weather patterns. The temperature will range between 28 to 16 degrees.

What is the weather update for other states?
The Meteorological Department predicts that a few locations in Himachal Pradesh, some areas of Punjab, Haryana, and northern Rajasthan may experience an intensification of the cold wave. There is a chance that the temperature will continue to decline as a result. The chill will also get worse along with this.
Over South Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, light rain is possible. Between December 20 and 22, light to moderate rains may fall over Tamil Nadu with heavy falls in a few locations. The intensity will gradually increase. Between December 20 and December 22, South Andhra Pradesh may also see light to moderate rain. Kerala may have light rain beginning on December 21.
