Weather Update: India’s north and northwest have been gripped by severe cold waves over the previous few weeks. As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a fresh outbreak of dense to extremely dense fog and isolated or fragmented cold wave conditions are highly likely to occur throughout north India beginning on January 14, 2023.
The majority of locations throughout Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and numerous locations over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand recorded mild to moderate rainfall or snowfall in the previous 24 hours. During the same time period, light rain was also seen in a few isolated locations over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi
The national capital is likely to be sunny today after a couple of days of drizzles. However, the temperature will again reach below 5 degrees and fog cover is likely to take place in the national capital. For today, the maximum temperature will be 18 degrees while the minimum will be 4 degrees.
Mumbai
Mumbai is expected to be sunny and bright today, according to the most recent weather report. However, there can be some haze early in the day. For a few more days, this type of weather trend is expected to persist. The maximum and minimum temperatures for today are 29 degrees and 18 degrees, respectively.
Chennai
Today will be partly overcast in Chennai, according to IMD, and the humidity will also be higher. However, there won’t be any rain in the city for some time. For today maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be 29 and 20, respectively.
Kolkata
In Kolkata today, the weather will be bright. The temperatures have changed somewhat, though, as the weather is starting to change. 30 degrees will be the maximum and 16 degrees will be the minimum temperature for today.

States like Punjab, Rajasthan, and certain parts of Haryana might see temperatures that fell below -4 degrees Celsius, while the capital would only have a 1 degree Celsius increase. The alert for today upcoming four days was issued in prior as the temperatures are likely to go very below.
