Weather Update: Over the past 2-3 days, the minimum temperature in the Indo-Gangetic plains, especially in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, has dropped to single digits. Earlier, the mercury had risen to double digits in the low teens, which gave a sense that winter was coming to an end. Nevertheless, the cold weather has returned, albeit not as harsh as before, but night temperatures have still fallen by 4-5 degrees in certain areas.
The morning hours in the region are experiencing a stronger breeze, which is increasing the feeling of cold. However, the minimum temperatures are expected to become milder over the next 3-4 days due to easterly winds. Nonetheless, after that, a mild winter chill is likely to return.
