Weather Update: For the past two weeks, there has been a severe cold wave affecting all of north and northwest India. The northwest plains, however, are no longer experiencing as severe of cold wave conditions. The northwest Indian plains no longer experience cold wave circumstances, and during the course of the next four days, there won’t likely be any cold wave conditions in north India, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Meanwhile, over several areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours, dense to extremely dense fog and chilly day conditions are predicted. These intensity will then gradually decrease. Temperature predictions on January 12 range from 9 to 20 degrees Celsius. Additionally, there may be a little drizzle or rain. The clouds will cover up the sky.
Delhi
The national capital is predicted to receive relief today, by the IMD. This update comes weeks after coldwave had gripped the region. The sky will be clear while the maximum temperature will be 20 degrees and minimum will be 13 degrees.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs are likely to remain similar as sunny conditions will prevail throughout the city. Though, not much change is expected in temperature for the city. The maximum temperature for today will be 31 degrees and minimum will be 20 degrees.
Chennai
Chennai is predicted to remain sunny and bright throughout the day, as the city continues to march on its pleasant run since last few days. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 21 degrees.
Kolkata
It’s anticipated that Kolkata will keep experiencing low temperatures. The coldwave won’t have much of an effect on the populace, though, as the day is predicted to be sunny. According to forecasts, today’s high and low temperatures will be 26 and 13, respectively.

What is the weather update for other states?
Rain is predicted to fall across the Western Himalayan Region till January 14 as a result of western disturbances. Over much of east India, there is a very good chance that minimum temperatures won’t vary significantly over the course of the next 24 hours, followed by a steady rise of two to four degrees Celsius.
