Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department stated that Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh have recorded a surge in the minimum temperature of the day on yesterday of approximately 3 to 6 degree celsius. However, Betul of Madhya Pradesh have recorded the least temperature (with a fall of 1 to 3 degree celsius) of the day than the normal temperature on Wednesday. The certain parts of Rajasthan especially West Rajasthan will have thundershowers today. It may be accompanied by lightning. However, the nation’s capital New Delhi would have majorly heatwave throughout the day as per IMD, It forecasts that the maximum temperature of the city would be 45 degree celsius today.

IMD forecasts rainfall in a few isolated locations in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal along with their capitals( Chennai and Kolkata). There has been heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in certain areas of the country including the wettest state of the nation, i.e, Meghalaya. The same is predicted for Karnataka, Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh. In several areas of Northern Indian including Uttar Pradesh (including Lucknow), West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand (including Ranchi), the heat wave conditions to severe heat wave conditions are highly possible. As per the IMD, certain areas of Uttarakhand are also experiencing heat waves along with isolated areas of Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.
