Weather Update: According to IMD, the western Himalayan region is expected to be affected shortly by a new western disturbance. From March 22 to 24, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand will have mild rains and snowfall. Over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha today, scattered to moderately widespread rainfall, isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are forecast due to an anti-cyclonic circulation over the Northwest Bay of Bengal. Whereas in Mumbai, it is expected to have thundery condition in the city. Today in Delhi, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a partly overcast sky with high winds.The capital’s highest temperature is expected to be approximately 33 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Department’s prediction. The capital city of Tamil Nadu, (Chennai) will likely have rainfall today.

According to the IMD, there will likely be isolated thunderstorms and lightning over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, along with moderately widespread or widespread light to moderate rainfall. Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Assam and Meghalaya are likely to have isolated severe rainfall or snowfall. A considerable decrease is expected following isolated to dispersed light to moderate rainfall, isolated thunderstorms, and lightning over the Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar(including Patna), Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. There’s also a good chance of isolated hailstorms today over J&K, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh. In the meantime, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim are expected to see sporadic, intense snowfall and rainfall, according to the MeT department.
