Weather Update: According to the IMD, the second half of the monsoon season is likely to cover the almost all parts of the nation. It will see normal to above-average rainfall in most parts of the nation, with the exception of a few areas like central and peninsular India. The central and the other areas are predicted to have below-normal rainfall. The national capital is under an orange alert for rainfall today as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted further showers across Delhi, especially the National Capital Region. However, the situation of waterlogging is getting critical in the city. The prediction of further rainfall in the city may create further inconvenience among the people. So, it has been advised to not move in the city unless it is too important. The same advice has been cautioned for the major parts of Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan due to the heavy rain and its possible consequences.
Weather Update: Patna, Lucknow and Mumbai
As per the IMD reports, heavy rainfall may also occur in Bihar’s capital city of Patna and its surrounding areas. IMD data reveals heavy rainfall deficits in many parts of Uttar Pradesh, including the state capital Lucknow. In its Mumbai weather report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted moderate rainfall for the city. It is expected to be at least 26 degrees Celsius and up to 32 degrees Celsius.

The states that the major parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra will get heavy to extremely heavy rains, with some areas experiencing exceptionally severe falls. These states are also under high red alert for rainfall. As per the per the prediction of Weather department, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is also expected in isolated areas across Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Meghalaya, Goa, Gujarat and Karnataka. However, the topmost northern regions including Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala and Karnataka, the IMD anticipates severe rainfall in some areas.
