Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for heavy rainfall in the northeastern region of the country over the next 24 hours. According to the latest report from the weather bureau, areas already affected by severe flash floods, such as Sikkim and West Bengal, are expected to receive a significant amount of rain today. Also, Delhi NCR region is experiencing cooler mornings, indicating a start to the winter season.
Expect heavy rain and thunderstorms to affect Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, and Sikkim may experience widespread rain and thunderstorms. Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are predicted for the Andaman-Nicobar Islands. In Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Lakshadweep, anticipate isolated to scattered rain and thunderstorms. Isolated snow, rain, and thunderstorms could occur in Ladakh as well.
Delhi
Delhi is projected to remain sunny the entire day. The day will become warmer during the afternoon while the mornings and nights will continue to experience a drop in temperature. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees while the minimum will be 23 degrees with humidity at 55%.
Mumbai
As per the latest weather update, Mumbai and its suburbs will experience partially cloudy conditions during the morning. Eventually, the sky will become clearer as the day proceeds. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 84%.
Chennai
IMD has projected Chennai to experience a partially cloudy sky the entire day. There will be relief from rain for today. The maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 89%.
Kolkata
Kolkata will witness isolated thunderstorms until the afternoon. However, there will be relief from rains from thereon but the sky will continue to remain cloudy. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees with humidity at 93%.
