Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has forecasted similar conditions and severe weather in the North Indian states for the next few days. The country is experiencing a severe winter, which is why everyone in North India is shivering. In the southern states, heavy fog and rain are possible. According to the department of meteorology, during the next two days, a cyclonic circulation over the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean may result in light rain in a few locations over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, and Lakshadweep.

IMD forecasts Very likely, there will be patches of dense to extremely dense fog over Punjab, East Uttar Pradesh; isolated pockets of dense fog over Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya; and isolated pockets of dense fog over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Extremely cold weather is probably coming to some areas of Punjab; solitary pockets in Haryana and Chandigarh; and solitary pockets in Uttarakhand. There is a good chance that there will be isolated pockets of cold wave to severe cold wave conditions over Rajasthan and isolated pockets of cold wave conditions over Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. Conditions of ground frost are probably present in a few isolated areas over Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
