Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for various parts of the country. Heavy rainfall and snowfall are likely to occur at isolated places over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffrabad, and Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, hailstorms accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning are expected at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty wind are also expected in different regions. In Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi, isolated places might experience gusty winds of 40-50 kmph. Isolated places in Rajasthan and Vidarbha could see lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph.
Furthermore, heatwave conditions are predicted to hit several parts of the country. Gangetic West Bengal is expected to experience heatwaves in some areas, while isolated pockets of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam are also at risk.
Delhi
IMD has projected that the national capital will be sunny throughout the day. However, some partly overcast conditions are likely over the conditions from late evening. Humidity is also likely to stay on the lower end. For today, the maximum temperature will be 41 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 26 degrees.
Mumbai
Partly overcast conditions are likely over the city and its suburbs. However, sunny conditions are most likely to stay throughout the day. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 36 degrees and the minimum will be 28 degrees.
Chennai
Some periodic clouds are projected over Chennai in the latest forecast by IMD. Though, the humidity will be at 85% today and gusty winds will blow throughout. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees and the minimum will be 26 degrees.

Kolkata
No major change is anticipated in Kolkata today. The temperature will remain almost similar while humidity will continue to soar. Sky will be clear and sunny conditions are likely throughout the day. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 42 degrees and minimum will be 29 degrees.
