Weather Update: According to the forecast service, there will be probably significant rain over the next four to five days over northeastern and southern peninsular India. The few parts of Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are predicted to experience a gradual drop in temperature. Additionally, it forecasted light to moderate rainfall across Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha. However, it may be accompanied with the thundershowers in the same regions. The Uttar Pradesh and Nation’s capital is likely to see rainfall today.

IMD forecasts that there will be likely few areas where extremely heavy rainfall is possible like West Bengal, Sikkim, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya. However, there has been heavy rainfall in certain areas of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka and Odisha. Certain regions of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha are expected to experience heat wave conditions. It is highly probable that there will be isolated pockets of warm night-time temperatures in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, Ranchi and Mumbai are expected to have partly cloudy sky today.
