Weather Update: The heavy monsoon is showing its terror all over the country and is in no mood to stop. Amidst the heavy rainfall, flood-like situations have been created in Gujarat and Maharastra and the situation is really dire.
In the Yuvatmal district of Maharastra, the Mi-17 V5 helicopter had to be inducted to save 40 people stranded in the district. District administration themselves required the evacuation helicopter.
While on the other hand, Gujarat is also facing the same flood-like situation as the extreme rainfall continues. IMD had to issue all three alerts in various districts of Gujarat. The weather is supposed to remain like this for a few more days in the state.
The Amarnath pilgrims’ convoy also had to be stopped because of the heavy rainfall and landslides. Uttarakhand CM stated that they are making continuous efforts to rescue all the stranded people.
Weather Report: Delhi
Yamuna River crossed the danger mark once again but it was a sunny day in the national capital. IMD has stated a light rainfall in the national capital on Sunday as well. The temperature will remain around 34 degrees to 28 degrees.
Mumbai
Mumbai witnessed intense rainfall that resulted in waterlogging in various areas and the situation will likely be the same today as well. IMD has issued a red alert as the temperature will be between 28 degrees to 27 degrees.
Chennai
Scattered Thunderstorms are predicted all over the city for the next few days as the residents are instructed to pay caution. The temperature will be between 33 degrees to 27 degrees.
Kolkata
The capital of West Bengal will also face scattered rainfall all over the city as the residents might see the monsoon for the first time in the season. The temperature will be between 32 degrees to 27 degrees.
