Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rainfall in several areas of the northern plains and the Western Himalayan Region in the upcoming days. A wet spell is anticipated in the Western Himalayan Region and adjoining plains until March 2, as per the IMD. However, on the plains, the temperature is likely to surge more while some regions are also predicted to reach up to 40 degrees.

The upcoming month of March appears to be no less intense. Moreover, the following peak summer months of April, May, and June are predicted to be scorching, with temperatures rising to unprecedented levels. Read below to know more about region-wise weather update.

Delhi

The national capital is predicted to remain mostly sunny throughout the day. However, the evenings are forecast to remain partly cloudy. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees and minimum will be 18 degrees.

Mumbai

IMD predicts the city and its suburbs to remain clear and bright. The weather will remain mostly clear as the rise in temperature continues. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 34 degrees and the minimum will be 24 degrees.

Chennai

A clear sky and sunny day is predicted for Chennai in the latest weather update. No major shift in weather patterns is expected in the upcoming week. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and the minimum will be 25 degrees.

Kolkata

Kolkata is predicted to remain clear as well, however, some haze is forecast throughout the day. A similar kind of weather pattern is predicted in the upcoming week as well. The maximum temperature will be 34 degrees and the minimum will be 22 degrees.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that maximum temperatures in numerous regions of Central and East India may increase by two to three degrees Celsius in the next three days. Additionally, the maximum temperatures are expected to remain three to five degrees Celsius above average in most parts of northwest India during the next 48 hours.
