Weather Update: The IMD forecasts that there won’t be any rain in the northern portion of the nation; instead, the chilly temperatures are caused by snowfall in the hills and certain higher places. The next two days in Delhi are predicted to see a continuation of the chilly snap, with clear skies and temperatures that are set to stay lower than the previous week. In addition, the country’s temperatures have risen during the spring, keeping most areas dry. Light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are predicted for today in the northernmost regions of the subcontinent, which include Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. During this time, Uttarakhand may also see some snowfall and rains in certain locations. Whereas the capital of uttarakhand, Dehradun have windy conditions today.

While the country’s northern regions struggle with precipitation, the southern regions see a distinct weather pattern. Over the next two days, Rayalaseema and Kerala should expect hot and muggy weather, which will be in sharp contrast to the colder and wetter temperatures in the north. There is a high probability of isolated thunderstorms with lightning over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzafarabad and Himachal Pradesh throughout the following two days. Arunachal Pradesh is also likely to have isolated occurrences of light to moderate rainfall and snowfall, with isolated activity predicted throughout the next five days. Chennai is likely to have heavy clouds today.
