Weather Update: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), isolated thunderstorms with lightning and wind gusts of 30 to 40 kmph are highly expected over Delhi and the neighbouring states. Additionally there is a warning for periods of heavy rain at certain locations in Mumbai has been released by the India Meteorological Department.
In Kolkata, today’s high and low temperatures are predicted to be approximately 34°C and 29°C, respectively. Kolkata may receive heavy rainfall today at some places. Mumbai is expected to see a high temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a low temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.

According to IMD, there is a high probability of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in certain areas of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Goa, and Karnataka. The IMD has forecasted heavy rainfall in isolated areas in Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Meghalaya and Karnataka. The same is predicted for Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal & Sikkim. According to IMD, there is a high probability of isolated thundershowers with lightning and gusty winds (up to 40 kmph) in few parts of the states like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Telangana. However there may also be lightning in some areas of Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh.

According to IMD forecast, Lucknow and Patna would have cloudy sky with the possibility of rainfall today. Thundershowers can persist in both of these cities.
