Weather Update: Heavy rainfall in Delhi NCR; check conditions in Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna

Weather Update: The entire region of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), including Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, and Ballabhgarh, are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall today along with light thunderstorms and lightning. However, many roadways are reportedly submerged as a result of the heavy downpours. The Delhi Police have issued a traffic advice for Mundaka, IP Marg, Mangi Bridge, and Minot Bridge due to waterlogging. The IMD forecast indicates that similar conditions are anticipated to be seen in nearby Uttar Pradesh, and that severe downpours may be experienced today in Lucknow, the state capital.

The meteorological department for Mumbai has forecast a partly overcast sky with the potential for light to moderate rainstorms along with thundershowers throughout the city and its outskirts. In anticipation of significant rainfall, the India Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert for a number of states, including Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. In its weather forecast, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for Hyderabad and the neighbouring districts states that there will be more rain in the days to come. According to the IMD, heavy rain is expected across Jharkhand and Bihar, along with a few light showers over the state capitals of Ranchi and Patna, respectively.

As to the India Meteorological Department, there is a high probability of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several areas of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala. In the regions of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha & Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and Karnataka, severe rainfall is predicted by IMD to occur in some locations.
