Weather Update: Heavy Rains in Mumbai and Chennai, Check Conditions in Delhi, Lucknow and Patna

In parts of West Bengal and Bihar, there's a significant likelihood of hot, sticky weather.

Weather Update: The IMD reports that while the monsoon has moved through central India almost normally thus far, it has not yet reached some places, leaving those areas with persistently high temperatures and heatwave conditions. There will be some clouds in the sky, very little rain, and strong gusty winds, according to the regional meteorological centre in New Delhi. In northwest India, the weather agency has also forecasted thunderstorms in few areas. However throughout the next five days, heatwave conditions are expected to continue in areas of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and east India. In Delhi, the maximum temperature is predicted to be about 43 degrees Celsius, while the lowest will be 29 degrees.

According to the IMD, the southwest monsoon is expected to move across Mumbai and some areas of Karnataka. The same is predicted for the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh, and the southern regions of Chhattisgarh.

The Indian Meteorological Department stated that there is a high probability of isolated areas of heavy rainfall across Goa, Kerala, and North Interior Karnataka. However, there is significant rainfall in certain areas of West Bengal, Sikkim and Assam. In certain areas of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Odisha, there will be a heat wave. There is a good chance of hot weather situation in various areas of West Bengal and Bihar. Winds between 35 and 45 kmph with gusts up to 55 kmph are predicted to blow along and off the coasts of Kerala, Goa, Karnataka Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra(including Mumbai) and Tamil Nadu (including Chennai).
