Weather Update: Over the past few days, several regions in India have been experiencing significant rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that this trend of heavy to very heavy rainfall will persist in certain areas. Specifically, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha are expected to continue experiencing heavy rainfall on Friday, while Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim will likely encounter moderate rainfall today. Additionally, northeast India can expect this rainfall pattern to continue as well.
Subsequently, reduced rainfall is anticipated in northwest and nearby west-central India over the next five days. Towards the end of the forecast period, conditions conducive to the beginning of the withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon rainfall from parts of West Rajasthan are expected to develop.
Delhi
After brief rainy spells in the national capital, the trend of mostly sunny days is back. The weather will remain warm & humid with the sun out the entire day. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 64%.
Mumbai
Light rain and drizzles will continue to trouble Mumbai and its suburbs today as well. No relief is presently in sight for the region. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with the humidity at 93%.
Chennai
IMD has forecast that Chennai will continue to experience thunderstorms and cloudy sky. The weather conditions are likely to remain same for the weekend. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 90%.
Kolkata
As per the latest weather update, Kolkata will remain engulfed in the clouds. Rain will lash the city during the afternoon but weather will turn rather pleasant during the afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 89%.
