Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department has forecast light clouds over the next two to three days. The maximum temperature may reach twenty-eight degrees, and light drizzles of rain may occur in some regions of North India due to the Western Distrubances. In several of India’s northern and southern states, the minimum temperature was reported to be three degrees higher than it had previously been. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), these circumstances are expected to last for the next three to four days, after which Mumbai is expected to experience a drop in temperature. According to IMD, on February 21, 2024, there will likely be isolated areas of heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh. Very probable, on February 21, 2024, there will be localised hailstorm activity over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds (30–40 kmph), and hailstorm are likely to be present in isolated locations over Uttar Pradesh; Uttarakhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar; Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Assam, & Meghalaya; Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, & Tripura; and Jammu–Kashmir–Ladakh–Gilgit–Baltistan–Muzaffarabad, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Arunachal Pradesh.
