Weather Update: According to IMD, there has been a significant shift in the nation’s weather as a result of the disturbances in the West. This is causing the weather in several states to change, with nights becoming colder and days becoming hotter. The sky will continue to be clear on Saturday, but by the end of March 9 and beginning of March 10, the weather may probably to shift again in Delhi by the thick dark clouds in the sky, according to the Meteorological Department. A very likely isolated downpour is expected across Odisha on March 9–10, 2024, and over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on March 9–10. The region is expected to have scattered to fairly widespread light and rainfall or snowfall along with isolated thunderstorms and lightning. The areas affected include Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad in Himachal Pradesh.

In lower tropospheric levels, IMD expects a trough in the westerlies that closely follows Long. 92°E to the north of Lat. 25°N. It is expected to cause sporadic light rainfall or snowfall over the next six days. There’s a good chance of isolated, light rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Over the next three days, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Kerala are anticipated to see hot and muggy weather. Daytime highs of two to three degrees Celsius are predicted. For the next five days, there is a good chance that maximum temperatures will rise gradually throughout the Northwest by 2-4°C.
