Weather Update: There is a chance of light rain or drizzle along with strong gusts in Delhi and the adjacent areas, according to the New Delhi Meteorological Department. There is an orange alert in Thane, Raigad, and Pune, and a yellow alert in Mumbai and Palghar. The Mumbai suburbs are severely flooded as a result of the persistent rain and thunderstorms. Many states, including some parts of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, are expected to have significant rainfall today, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Moreover Ranchi and Dehradun are likely to have cloudy sky in the day time with a chance of rainfall which may be accompanied by thundershowers.

According to IMD, there will likely be some areas of heavy to very heavy rainfall, with exceptionally heavy precipitation, over Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka. The India Meteorological Department reports that there has been heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in various areas of Kerala. However heavy rainfall is expected in isolated areas over Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Telangana, according to the IMD.
